Make a Muffin in Your Morning Mug Blueberry Muffins

Busy mornings need easy breakfast ideas. If you have a morning mug, you can make a morning muffin.

This fast-and-easy idea for making muffins doesn’t need a muffin tin or the oven. With a few ingredients, your favorite morning mug, a microwave and a few minutes, you can make something delicious.

Make it in the morning with a cup of coffee, for an afternoon snack or a quick bite as you catch up on your favorite Netflix series and unwind from the day.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 to 1/3 cup French vanilla or yellow cake mix
  • 2 tablespoons milk or light cream.
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 1/4 cup blueberries, fresh or frozen
  • 1 tablespoon sugar for coating blueberries and topping

Instructions

  1. Lightly spray a microwave-safe mug with cooking spray.
  2. Add the yellow cake mix to mug with the milk.
  3. Mix well to combine into a batter.
  4. Spread sugar on a plate and roll berries to coat.
  5. Gently add blueberries to batter and stir in.
  6. Microwave for 30 seconds.
  7. Microwave for another 30 seconds.
  8. Microwave for another 10 seconds.
  9. Remove muffin mug from microwave and sprinkle the top of muffin.
  10. Allow to cool for two minutes and grab a spoon..

The batter can also be prepared the night before and held in the refrigerator so you can be one step ahead of the morning breakfast rush.

The sugar on top of the muffin gives a texture like you baked it in an oven. This is how to start the day!
